Designed and manufactured in Europe, DEFENDA™ inflatable fenders are incredibly strong, yet lighter in weight and less bulky than other fenders when deflated.
Twin reinforcement bands provide additional strength and abrasion resistance. The attachment loops are double thickness Polyester webbing; they are incredibly strong, yet won’t chip or damage paintwork. Larger diameter fenders have a three-point fixing to both ends as standard.
Manufactured from a high-tensile Polyester laminate, developed for military applications, a DEFENDA™ is lighter and stronger than other inflatable fenders.
Laser cut panels are High Frequency Welded, creating a molecular bond. Seams are stronger than the fabric itself and guaranteed not to leak. This state-of-the-art process also reduces seam thickness, making fenders much easier to pack for storage.
Our new low-profile inflation valve is incredibly strong, with improved inflation and deflation speeds and an enhanced clamping method.
Designed for ease of storage and rapid deployment, we have significantly reduced the weight and deflated volume of our fenders.
Reducing to only 10% of its inflated volume when stowed, DEFENDA™ allows you to carry the size and quantity of fenders you need. Much lighter than other large fenders, they are easily handled by all crew members and can be quickly moved around the deck when berthing.

Glued seams are a point of failure in standard fenders because adhesive degrades in salt water and heat. DEFENDA uses High-Frequency Welding to create a permanent molecular bond. This technology ensures the seams are stronger than the fabric itself and are guaranteed leak-proof.
Standard fenders use PVC or CSM (Hypalon). DEFENDA uses a specialized high-tensile Polyester laminate designed for military applications. This material is significantly lighter for the crew to handle, offers superior abrasion resistance, and maintains its structural integrity under extreme compression.
DEFENDA fenders are engineered to reduce to just 10% of their inflated volume. For a large superyacht, this frees up over 90% of traditional fender storage space, allowing for rapid deployment and easier handling during berthing.
Our 10-year guarantee covers both material integrity and construction. Because our HF welding creates a molecular bond rather than a mechanical glue joint, we provide a “no-quibble” assurance that our fenders will not delaminate or leak at the seams.
